Designers develop ideas that meet our needs and meet their requirements. At the same time, they benefit from a wide range of skills and technical knowledge. Interior design has been constantly changing since the beginning of the twentieth century, when it became a profession that is highly sought after today. Interior designers are expected to have a working knowledge of:
- Textile materials, color and spatial planning;
- 2D and 3D software applications for computer-aided design (CAD software) and modeling of buildings, software known as BIM;
- Structural knowledge, health standard and safety in construction activities.
Interior designers work with both project contractors and architects, engineers, furniture manufacturers and distributors. To become a successful interior designer, you need a good knowledge of the material and the skills to work in many directions such as architecture, graphic design and decorative arts. You also need to have knowledge of textiles, lighting design, furniture, etc.
